Small Business and Startup Support Program (3SP)
In many communities, individuals with strong entrepreneurial potential face barriers such as limited capital, lack of operational support, and insufficient capacity to scale ideas into sustainable businesses. These challenges affect not only existing micro and small enterprises, but also aspiring entrepreneurs who may be employed elsewhere yet wish to build businesses alongside their current work.
Through the PASDO Small Business and Startup Support Program (3SP), PASDO supports individuals, startups, and micro- and small-scale enterprises with targeted assistance designed to accelerate business growth and job creation. Support may take the form of partial grants, service subsidies, and other interventions that reduce early-stage operational burdens and enable enterprises to function more efficiently.
A key component of the program focuses on improving access to skilled support services, allowing beneficiaries to strengthen administration, customer engagement, and business operations. By lowering the cost of professional support, PASDO helps enterprises move from idea to execution, expand their reach, and improve productivity without unsustainable financial pressure.
3SP is implemented through community-based representatives who help identify eligible individuals and enterprises based on local priorities and program guidelines. The program aligns with Goal 8 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Decent Work and Economic Growth, by promoting entrepreneurship, supporting enterprise development, and fostering inclusive economic participation in the communities where PASDO works.
Due to limited staffing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to concurrently run some programs and have therefore temporarily suspended them (and removed them here). They include the Information, Leadership and Skill literacy (ILS) Project , the Sustainable Aquaculture Supply in West and Central Africa (SASWeCA) Project, the Learn Chinese Project (LCP) and others. We’d appreciate responding to service inquires on them only after they are restored.
