PASDO is seeking committed volunteer translators fluent in English and Japanese to support the translation and localisation of organisational content.
The volunteer will support PASDO by translating materials from English into natural, culturally appropriate Japanese. These materials may include:
Website and programme content
Official organisational communications
Volunteer opportunity listings
Selected internal or external documents
This is a long-term, standby volunteer role. Translation tasks will be assigned as needs arise, rather than on a daily basis. Volunteers are expected to remain available during their commitment period and respond to assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
All translations must be human-led and culturally accurate. While AI tools may be used for reference, final translations must not be raw AI output and should reflect the volunteer’s own language competence and understanding of Japanese culture and usage.
