Child in School Support Program (CISSP)

PASDO Child in School Support Program

Across many communities worldwide, children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds face obstacles that limit their ability to attend and remain in school. These barriers may include the inability to pay basic school fees, purchase essential learning materials, or access supportive educational environments. When these challenges are unaddressed, they can result in reduced school attendance, diminished learning outcomes, and limited opportunities for future personal and economic growth.

PASDO’s Child in School Support Program seeks to expand access to foundational education by providing support that helps remove financial barriers to schooling. Through this initiative, families facing hardship may receive assistance toward necessary school expenses, enabling children to enrol in and stay engaged with formal education. The support may include contributions toward school fees, learning materials, and other essential resources that help create a more equitable educational experience. By easing the financial burdens associated with schooling, this program supports children’s right to education, helps improve school retention, and contributes to stronger prospects for academic and lifelong success.

Due to limited staffing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to concurrently run some programs and have therefore temporarily suspended them (and removed them here). They include the Information, Leadership and Skill literacy (ILS) Project , the Sustainable Aquaculture Supply in West and Central Africa (SASWeCA) Project, the Learn Chinese Project (LCP) and others. We’d appreciate responding to service inquires on them only after they are restored.
